Be Still, My Soul
05:07
|
|
||
Be still, my soul: the Lord is on thy side.
When I have walked a thousand miles
I still will be alive.
And though the storm is plentiful,
I see the dawning light.
When I lay my head to rest,
let fear keep from my sight.
I cannot think a better joy
than when I am at peace.
This peace is where I bind my hopes,
and where I will reside.
Let fear and all my anguish be
just swept into the sea.
Through this darkened tunnel lies
the hope I’ve kept inside.
I am not here to praise the earth
or watch it fall apart.
So let me leave my fears behind
so you may do your work.

With The Seas
03:32

You've set the stones in their place.
You've carved the rocks and their faces.
I feel you carving my path,
Leading me to your resting place
Where you sway with the seas,
Balancing me so that I won't fall.

I Will Wait
03:53
|
|
||
Like a child awaits the morning, I will wait
For the lingering doubts in my mind to cease.
Even when I'm asleep, my thoughts still haunt me in my dreams.
But tonight I will sleep with perfect company, with royalty at my side.
And if I could shake my fears for just one night, I would rest in the place where the Lord had intended my heart to be resting all the time.
If we're were waiting for tomorrow, but we're dwelling on yesterday,
Then the night is today, and today is the moment that we leave all our worries far behind, and rest.
